Want to know your element for real?

This quiz is just for fun. In a Five Element acupuncture appointment, I look much more closely: at the colour in your face, the tone of your voice and how you’re feeling, to understand how all five elements are working for you. Then I tailor your treatment to you.

What is Five Element Acupuncture?

Five Element Acupuncture is one of the two traditions I trained in at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading. It sees each of us as a unique mix of five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. Each one is linked with a season, a colour, an emotion and a time of day.

When the elements are working well together, we tend to feel more like ourselves. In treatment, I look at how all five are doing for you, and choose points to support you as a whole person.

This quiz is just for fun and isn’t a diagnosis. Please see your GP about any new or worsening symptoms.
